Mellco Pty Ltd was launched in January 2015.
Mellco is a 100% Australian owned and operated business that was established to meet a market need in representing the segment of grain growers seeking to extract value from customised grain production.
The business is being headed by the well-known grain industry identity, Mr. Steve Mellington.
Mellco will initially be targeting high value grains such as durum wheat, organic grains, noodle wheat, and specialty malt barleys for the domestic and export market.
Mellco is already active in the durum wheat marketplace working closely with domestic and international processors. In addition, a close working relationship has been established with the plant breeding community to assist the alignment between future market needs and current breeding priorities.
